As an HR Communications advisor within HR/People Services you are a part of the HR comms team and you will fully participate with everything we do. Next to that, you will have your own internal communication projects to manage, big or small, from start till finish. Our scope is wide: the team is responsible for all communications to managers and employees about employee vitality, diversity, career development, performance management; the implementation of HR systems, issues or about a new collective labour agreement. You will be:
- writing and editing texts: this is a major part of your daily work!;
- advising internal clients and (senior) management;
- developing internal campaigns;
- composing the monthly HR newsletter;
- handling incoming ad hoc communications requests.

The HR Communications team consists of seven colleagues: four communications experts, two content advisors and one expert lead. The team is responsible for HR communications to all ING employees and managers in the Netherlands and is part of the Employee Experience circle within People Services.

what we expect from you?
You are a versatile communications professional with a passion for thinking and acting and a proven track record. Viewed by others as a true expert, you are valued for your drive and clear communicationadvice. You are able to convince others – even when faced with resistance – on the basis of substance and personality. Furthermore, you subscribe to the values of ING, believe it is self-evident to behave in line with these values in your work and are willing to take the banker’s oath, as is mandatory for all ING employees. - Level of education: higher vocational or university level in Communications or Marketing;
- At least 7-10 years of experience with internal communications, change communications and preferably process communications in an (international) organisation with a wide array of stakeholders.
- Advisory skills at board level;
- Experience and/or affinity with the agile way of working;
- Excellent language skills in Dutch (native) and English, with excellent editorial skills;
- Sense of political relationships.
