Some people see AI as a threat; I see it as the ultimate synthesizer: an instrument that truly creates beautiful things when a creative mind is in control. If you ask me who I am, I would say: a 'data-driven dreamer'. I love building and developing digital strategies, as long as the foundations are based on hard numbers. A bit stubborn, fairly tech-heavy, but always with the aim of creating something that is technically correct and strikes the right chord.
I am particularly fascinated by how technology and AI change our work. For me, data is not dull or black-and-white; it is the notepad where I unleash my creativity. I use numbers to understand what is happening, and then with intuition and a bit of daring, I build something that truly makes an impact.
My background is in music: for years I was active as a producer and DJ. There, I learned that a good atmosphere is worth its weight in gold, but without a tight schedule and good marketing, you're going nowhere. I took that pragmatic view of creativity with me during my studies in Utrecht and now into my work here, actually into my whole daily life.
I do not get obsessed with statistics, but I certainly do not ignore them. I see myself as a kind of creative Google Translate: I take input from the dashboards and translate it into something that actually resonates with a person (or an algorithm). I am a sort of bridge between the abstract world of data and AI and the tangible world of content.
Privately, I am the same type of hybrid. In the studio, I can endlessly search for the perfect kick drum, while in this work I actually find peace in the efficiency of a well-organized workflow. In short, I combine the chaos of the creative sector with the precision of an analytical perspective - all without wearing headphones all day (mostly).
